Vince is very good at what he does,but this video is not very educational,mostly just showing Vince doing what he does best,freehand airbrushing.I still found this entertaining to watch
I have been custom painting for over 20 years. I have seen just about every custom painting and airbrushing video out there. I enjoyed this video very much. Vince is a good instructor. You will get some great information from this video.
Vince does an awesome job with this video. It should be aimed at the more advanced air brusher, but will inform the novice quite well on shading.

Long video but well worth it if you have never done DETAILED murals or just want some idea's on how someone else does them. Great DVD.
Vince makes an big effort to explain his technique. If you are a complete novice and want a detailed step by step to kick start your airbrushing then its a worthwhile purchase. However if you are an experienced airbrusher then your wasting your time. His airbrush control is unbelievably poor and viewing his work close up is pretty disappointing. Having said that, the overall image and colour combination, from a distance, looks good. Just don't get too close!!!
Movie was a little long but, he was very careful to make sure that every part of the job was covered to making the mural.
I enjoyed watching a master painter share his techniques.The video is geared more to experienced air brush painters although someone new to airbrushing could also learn from this video.Vince gives you a profession aproach,mixing in a little humor.Since i am a self taught airbrush artist for 10 years with no former art education, i look to videos and books to help me learn the craft.I personally found this video,in conjunction with his book,PROFESSIONAL AIRBRUSH TECHNIQUES a very informative combination and am not sorry in any way that i rented the video.Vince is a great artist,his work speaks for itself.
Vince is a good teacher.I have tried most of videos and all were good ,but this one made me understand what i was doing wrong.I totally say this is the video for new painters.
I've rented this video before and I thought it was one of the best video's that I've ever seen! John G stated that Vince's freehand control and work were very poor but I think John is just jealous or something because you don't win VQ Painter of the Year for having poor quality work! This video has something for everyone from new painters to experienced it just depends on how you look at it as to what you get. If you're just watching it to see him do a cool project you're not going to get much from it but if you're watching to see how he does a cool project and go back to replay certain parts because something caught your eye you will learn a lot! Watching someone do something whether in person or on a video with open eye's and a closed mind will not teach you much of anything!
This is not a 5 star video it is at least 8 or 9 star video! I've taught classes and have had people ask me which video's to rent/buy to help learn this wonderful art and this is one of the top 5 on my list!!!
