Nationally known clinicians Miles and Fran Hale demonstrate basic tips and techniques for modeling professional-looking scenery with woodland scenics terrain and landscaping systems. The Hales teach how to build terrain, color rock formations, and continue with landscaping methods. They add soil, grass, bushes and trees in various sizes, colors, and textures. They finish with detailing highlights, such as field grass and wildflowers. They layout demo comes to life right before your eyes.

If you're thinking about getting into model railroading, this is an excellent video. It shows you how to quickly and easily produce realistic scenery using the Woodland Scenics products, specifically the ones included in the Scenery Kit. The video is a bit dated and Woodland Scenics has since come out with full layout kits for N and HO scales that might be more desirable as a first-time project, but the techniques in this video are still pertinent.
If you already have a method that you're happy with, this video is of limited usefulness, as it strictly preaches the Woodland Scenics way.
