Great video to show you how to begin in rendering custom realistic flames . would recoment if you want to learn this painting style , also has pretty good entertainment value as well out of a scale of 1-100 I will give it a 85
This is definately a great video for learning how to airbrush realistic flames. I do think that it could have gonne into a little more detail and give some examples of other types of realistic flames. There are only two examples and the video is barely 30 minutes.
I love Graig Frasers work and most of his videos but i found this one not as helpful. He shows a very different way of doing realistic flames and if u can do them they are awesome! There is just to much free hand work for me. This is a very good video for the intermediate painter and fun for the beginner to watch.
Fantastic video!! Craig takes the confusion out of the technique of laying out real flames. If you've been struggling to figure out what is wrong with the way yours look...be prepared to say, "OH!" as you are running to your paint booth! The camera angle is fantastic, the lighting is fantastic. You always have an excellent view of the canvas as to see what he's referring to.
Kudo's to Craig. This video brings yet another "version/artist's" rendering of the realistic flame effect. It is very informative on the tecnique but is not taylored to the novice. Not to say a novice could not do it but would be more difficult for the novice to achieve the effect. I liked the second half of the video more than the first, but all in all a good referance for everyone
Great freehand with a lil stencil work, horiable film editing with the superimposed background BAD!!! Over all great video, great techniques, very informitave to someone with a lil airbrush background. I like the scull fire he does later in the video, I would of prefered it to be traditional colors but I'm glad he does it blue to learn that technique. very excited to incorperate these techniques in my style and my work. Well worth the rental, I watched 3 times.
Learned a lot. Great tie-in with the skull technique. The video could have been longer, though, by including the "cut" parts that were preperatory to the actual brushwork.
Really liked it.
Felt it was very informative and best of all straight forward.
LOVE THE VIDEO, YOU GUYS ARE THE BOMB. CAN'T WAIT UNTIL I GET MY NEXT VIDEOS FROM YOU GUYS!!!
Love the video! You are (great).
Craig Fraser is a natural projecting his visualization onto his project through his airbrush. He does an equally compentent job of explaining his methods and showing them on video. Craig is an artist and I guess if you've got some artistic skills, he can teach you the techniques necessary to get things done, otherwise I think there is a bit too much freehand work for a non-artist like myself to master. Overall, I say hoo-raw!
Great info, but short. Not in depth enough.
Very good video. A little short but simple and to the point. I learned a lot from it.
Thank you for the opportunity to rent the video of Craig Fraser's Realistic Flames. His instructions helps to eliminate a lot of trial and error.
I loved the video, but it was too short. Craig Fraiser still makes it easy. These flames look cool, even if there is not to much color. I can't waiy to do mine on my walls.
This is an amazing video, the guy is definitely a pro!
Great DVD! As usual, he makes things look so easy. The only downside, I would have like to see him clear coat it. Not only for the look of the 2 panels, but also for the 'How To' of clearing and making sure it's done right. I guess I'll have to rent another DVD for that one.
Excellent instruction for ones who are interested in a more stylized and freehand approach to realistic flames.
The dvd clearly illustrates Craig Fraser's method of creating realistic flames. While Craig's system is less complicated than Mike Lavallee's, it requires more artistic talent. I would recommend this video to people who have a least a moderate ability with an airbrush and just want a method for creating flames. For anyone new to airbrushing, I would recommend Mike Lavelle's "The Secret Of Airbrushing True Fire". Better yet, rent both videos so you can compare both methods and decide which is best for you
