An excellent DVD. Jimmy Clewes' methods are very easy to follow, and the projects that he did on the video were ones that I felt I could easily undertake. One other feature of the DVD that I enjoyed was the superb camera work. The angles used to show the details of cuts and use of tools was great. I look forward to watching more of his work.
This video does a better job of explaining how to use the bevel to make good cuts than most videos out there.
Good projects to make, more than just turning is explained, also how to use color.
One of the better ones.
This was an excellent video. Good camera work, well explained throughout every step of each project. I'd recommend it for just about anyone.
I was extremely disappointed in this DVD. Jimmy has a accent which makes it more difficult to understand. The only real project he made was the picture. It was nice, but how often would you want to make such a project I would recommend From the Tree to the Table with Mike Mahoney,Bowl Basics: A Workshop with Mike Mahoney instead. I have also rented Turning Boxes, Turning Wood Richard Raffan & of all three tuners Mike Mahoney series is by far the best.
