In one word, Terrible!
In more words, unorganized, poor content, lack of details, bad resolution, no scripting, bad editing, no chapters on DVD. If you lose your place, you have to start watching from the beginning. If you have never seen or heard of gear making, this DVD is for you.
Material about the names of the parts of a gear tooth was fine. The tool profile and the gear cut was vague at best. The demonstration was so basic that only a beginner would be interested, but the detail they would need was not there. I was thinking of buying the video, now you saved me from a big mistake.
Good info for a beginner on gear parts but he used a homemade cutter and no information was given on how to develop tool profile for making involute gear cutters.
A good video for beginners but it leaves much to be desired for others. Good description of gear parts and definitions. He uses a fly cutter to cut an involute gear but never shows how to develop the profile on his homemade cutter.
