I enjoyed this video and learned quite a bit from it. However, if your goal is to build a personal home theater, be aware that this video only covers the aspects of a structured A/V cabling network. It does not discuss all the various aspects of designing and equipping a particular room for exceptional accoustics.

This may be a good introduction but in my view it does not give much detailed advice or instructions to tackle a real life project. It seems like a "primer" for buying one of the real technical DVDs from this publisher!

Product description is misleading and incomplete. It fails to state the video is primarily for installing manufacturer specific hardware into an unfinished home.

Video primarily focuses on proprietary hardware from a single manufacturer. It seems to be more of a training video for installers employed by the same manufacturer in unfinished homes. It makes little mention of installation in a pre-existing home.

The video mixes simple wiring concepts with inadequate explanations of scenarios having increased complexity.

Even the leading male actor seems to have a problem correctly pronouncing some terminology. His pronunciation of the word "coaxial" sounds like he is saying "co-actual."
