The Quillion of Quality

...with Jerome Anders

Knifemaking how-to video: The Quillion of Quality by Jerome Anders 3_bulb Review this video!

American Bladesmith Society Mastersmith Jerome Anders teaches you the finer points of making the Quillion dagger as required for the ranking of A.B.S. Mastersmith. The Quillion dagger is the toughest challenge the American Bladesmith Society has for impeccable workmanship. Aesthetics, precision, and symmetry are scrutinized most critically for this particular A.B.S. Mastersmith test, dubbed your finest work to date. Jerome goes above and beyond the requirements and explains each step in detail. You will see why this dagger won Best Art Knife at the Ohio Valley Knife Show just two weeks after its conception and the filming of this DVD. In this video you will learn the proper way to flute handles (with or without wire inlays), and the forming of the quills and how to make them equal on each side. Also, a clamshell was added just for good measure. Learn the fit up and finishing techniques that will help you to pass your A.B.S. Quillion test with confidence. Packed with over three full hours of quality instructions, this video is a must have for any knifemaker who wants to produce professional results and especially for those who aspire to become Mastersmiths in the American Bladesmith Society. If you want the professional's tips for quality knifemaking, here they are for you.

This video is good to see. I cannot say that is very good because of lack of details. Other videos focus on details and precision, this one on the overall work.
