Lewis C. Wilson, Vicki Payne, Humboldt Films, Milon Townsend, Butch Young, and Peter McGrain that you can
keep as long as you want, the ability to cancel at any time,

$11.47 for the first month, and
$22.95 thereafter
, this is a bargain that
you can't afford to miss!
Commonly asked questions about Glasswork University
Q: How many DVDs do I get at a time?
A: Up to three per month.
Q: Once I subscribe, can I quit?
A: Yes, you can quit at any time at all. Just send us an email and you're out - no more charges, ever.
Q: How much does it cost?
A:
Just
$11.47 for the first month, and
$22.95 per month after that
.
That's a huge savings over
the
$249.00
or so it would cost to buy three new DVDs each month, and a
big savings over the normal rental cost.
Q: How much are late fees?
A: There are never any late fees!
Q: Can you clarify how the "three DVDs out-at-a-time, limit three per month" plan works?
A: Let's say you sign up on the 10th of the month. Your month then runs from the 10th of each month till the 10th of the next month. We'll make sure that you always have three new DVDs to watch in your home. We do it by sending out up to three DVDs during each month.
So, you sign up on the 10th. We mail you three
DVDs immediately. If you return one of them a week later, we accept the
return, but since we've mailed you three new DVDs this month, we wait
until the next month. As soon as the 10th of the next month rolls around, we send you one DVD, so now you've again got 3 DVDs in your home. A week after that, you return two more dvds. We immediately replace them, so that you again have three dvds.
Q: Will my university subscription send me DVDs that I already ordered
as a SmartFlix customer?
A: No! We track what you've already rented, and we won't send out duplicates.
Q: What order do I get the DVDs in?
A: We can't promise that you'll get the dvds in exactly the order listed below, but we do absolutely promise that we always send items out in an order that makes sense: you'll never get disk 2 in a set before disk 1. More generally, we use customer feedback to structure the universities in an order that makes sense - basic stuff first, then more advanced topics.
Q: There's a DVD (or two, or three) on the list that I don't want to see - can I subscribe to Glasswork University, but somehow not get that DVD?
A: Sure thing! Just subscribe to the university, then send us an email telling us what DVDs you want to skip.
Q: This is a pretty awesome deal, isn't it?
A: Yes, it is!

For the most part I have enjoyed the Glass University. The DVDs have been informative and have given me access to 'glass lessons' that are not otherwise offered in my area. The price is reasonable and being able to keep the DVDs for a month allows me to view them multiple times. Occasionally I receive a DVD that will not play, but that problem has always been quickly rectified.
The only thing I would fault the Glass University on is that they seem to have a very large number of DVDs that focus on making glass beads and other torch type work. May be that is what is popular, but it is not really my cup of tea. I would like to see more DVDs on glass carving, glass fusing, glass casting, and other techniques related to kiln use.
I was very happy with the quality of the instruction DVD's and service. I would recommend it to anyone that has the time to follow through with it.
