Named after Mike's 1982 Fine Woodworking article, this DVD is a complete treatise on the skew chisel. In typical Darlow detail, every aspect of using and maintaining a skew chisel is covered in detail. Subjects covered include blade and tip geometry, sharpening, the cutting process, planing, V-cutting and bead rolling. This DVD banishes the fear of the skew through clear explanation of the how and the why.

Good DVD...worthwhile viewing twice...sjb
This video really did put me to sleep. It was focused more on diagrams of blade geometry and wood surfaces than teacher-student presentations. Perhaps Disc 2 is better and more focused on actually working techniques but I'll never rent it to find out for fear that it'll be as boring as Disc 1. There has to be a better skew video out there.
