I loved them I just wish I had more time to view them. I am a beginner and it takes me a bit longer to try to grasp all the concepts. But other then that it seems the possibilities for creating beautiful & colorful art is endless. Thanks.
Good information, but I wish there was a handout listing the chemicals used during patina. As is, you must write each chemical name down during the video.
This DVD, along with Ron Young's other DVDs, are a must see for any one that works metal, whether for art, jewelry, deco or building adornment. They are a supplement to his books on the subject. The only way they could be made better is to have more close-up shots of the pieces and listing of the formulas as he is using them or a section on the DVD for print out lists of info.
Fast paced and requires several viewings in order to get info written down about chemicals used. Patina techniques and chemicals primarily focused on bronze.
Was very well done and was organized in an easy to follow format. It is primarily for those interested in learning about patina's for cast bronze pieces although the materials and techniques would apply to most items. May not be as useful for small jewelry pieces. The instructor was very clear and had materials organized well for the presentation sections.
