This DVD was extremely valuable. Every step is carefully described and demonstrated. His instruction left me satisfied and anxious to conquer a new still life using his techniques.
He really goes through everything step by step. While he isn't a lively or particularly engaging teacher, he gets the job done well. I learned a lot and found the DVD valuable in the way he simplified the subject. He paints a beautiful painting.
A basic instructional film with lots of helpful information. He paints a traditional oil painting with practical advice. Unlike some videos I've seen, there isn't a lot of abstract thinking about art, just how to. I thought it was very helpful. Pretty good use of the camera to show what he was talking about.
