The DVD was excellent. I've been doing body work by the seat of my pants for years. This "paintucation" taught me a lot. My projects will be more pro now.
Excellent DVD, just as good as #1. I learned a great deal from this pair of DVDs and consider the rental a great investment.
Very well done video. Excellent modern production quality. If you're looking to replace a quarter panel or install a patch panel these are good videos to watch.
Excellent, very well put together and easy to understand.
This was the best one of the series. Extremely informative.
Kevin is back, but the mullet haircut isn't, but don't worry you do get to see one in the series. Kevin does a few rear panel repairs and uses both a welding method and an adhesive method and compares the differences. You will see cutting of panels and then restoring with factory replacement. Video was really well done compared to the older paintucation series.
Excellent instruction Dvd, very detailed on all aspects body panel replacement. Great Dvd.
Great instructional Dvd. Very detail on all aspects replacing body panels. Kevin show how to weld and use body panel adhesive.
Kevin Tetz's TV exposure really shows in this video set. Its the first video Ive seen that discusses full quarter replacement. Some great tips inside. I highly recommend both discs.
I rented both videos, Disc 1 and Disc 2. They're both excellent but depending on your experience with this type of work, you might find Disc 1 not as helpful. Disc 1 is very basic - a quick overview of welding, cutting out spotwelds, analyzing a panel and determining how much can be saved, etc. If I had rented this video about a year ago, it would have been very valuable but I had learned most of this through trial and error. There were some good tips and shortcuts but if you're semi-experienced, you might just go for Disc 2.
Disc 2 is where I learned the most. I really benefited from watching a pro do a panel replacement and will really consider using adhesive instead of welding for a large panel next time. The door skin tutorial was also EXCELLENT....not nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Just watching how he dealt with poorly fitting panels was valuable to me. I'd even consider buying Disc 2 for the future, it was that good.
Excellent video. Covers many real world practical situations you will come across during a restoration.
Demonstrates both bad and good repairs.
Excellent presentation, clear and well detailed was easy to follow. Mine went very well after watching the CD.
The information given in this DVD is valuable for anyone who is going to take a saw to a car and attempt to replace a panel. The part on welding was worth the price of the DVD if you don't get anything else out of it. This was extremely well done.
The only thing negative about this DVD were the drums in the background when there was no talking going on. This distracted from the instruction.
Overall, a good DVD.
This was a good DVD. It introduced the use of body adhesive in auto body repair. It also showed how to "skin" a door which is one reason I wanted to look at the DVD. Very well presented. Recommended.
Excellent video, very professional and fun. Great teacher.
Excellent video. Good safety practices, except when he used a welder without gloves. otherwise, I highly recommend this video!
