In this DVD, Jeremy discusses the fundamentals of light and color from a very practical standpoint. Going back to the basics of how light works in the real world, he focuses on an often neglected subject. Intended as an introduction to understanding light and color, the lecture covers topics such as bounced light, shadows, atmosphere and camera effects, going beyond basic color theory while staying relatively untechnical. Jeremy demonstrates many practical examples of how to apply the concepts to both 2D and 3D image creation.

This DVD is not just for 3D lighters or digital painters. It's for everyone. It will change the way you look at light from just one viewing. No complicated technical terms - just pure honest information in a brief but exploratory lecture. Buy it, rent it. Just watch it.
I enjoyed this video quite a bit. He does a great job of explaining how light affects everything we see in ways that we frequently don't expect it to from our traditional thinking. He supports all of his instruction with examples from photographs, drawing on them to show exactly what he means. I was pleased with the video.
I enjoyed the video and would recommend it to any artist, he talks about concepts that apply to light in painting and in 3D the lesson on color temperature and how one color affects colors next to it was eye opening. (pun intended)
This guy obviously has a passion for art and he works at Pixar, he lit the roof shot with Remy the mouse in Ratatouille which is beautiful shot
