Watch Buddy hand-press a signature veined countertop upside down, or let national BR trainer Rich Rhoades walk you through fabricating a hard trowel countertop, right side up in the shop, or at your site, including mold-making, creating a sink-knock-out or polishing the de-molded project to perfection. Buddy’s in-house technical support specialist Matthew Mondini will guide you through the details of templating and installation, sealing and waxing.

If you are a fan of the Buddy Rhodes concrete products, this is a good video to watch. The techniques in this video differ quite a bit from the Fu-Tung Chen video (also available here) in that Chen covers techniques for cast-top vs. trowel-top more thoroughly - and vice versa for this (Buddy Rhodes). The information in this video is fairly detailed and effectively presented, and I would recommend it to anyone who plans on building and installing their own countertops. If you watch the Fu-Tung Chen video *and* this one, you should feel a lot more confident about adapting components from both sets of techniques into your own work. As a side note, Buddy Rhodes concrete supplies are a lot more expensive than "standard" concrete, but you can cast a significantly thinner countertop and demold it much sooner than with standard mix. Overall, this video was worth the rental for me - good information.
