It was just OK. I will try a technique for the invisible zipper but I didn't like how they applied the lapped zipper. I was expecting "revolutionary" new and easy techniques and it just wasn't that!
I thought Easy Zippers was one of the best step-by-step sewing videos I've ever watched. The technique of adding fusible facing under the seam before placing the zipper was a new concept for me. This prevents the fabric from stretching especially if you are using a fleece or knit and it makes for great stitching lines. After watching the CD, I immediately applied what I learned and was astonished by the out come. My zipper placement was perfect! I highly recommend Easy Zippers.
If you are a self-taught sewer like me (and I am now a professional) it will save you SO MUCH TIME and brainpower to just have a system to rely upon! I will never again feel that I am "faking" my way through a nice zipper insertion, or that I have to work really slowly and carefully with lots of basting in order to get it right.
Rosebud is a bit of an oddball but you can see that her hands are utterly expert. Watch, absorb, remember, move on. And this little corner of your sewing life will never intimidate you again. Not even making a fly!
I thought this DVD was very good. The techniques of the step-by-step were easy to watch and understand. Learning how to sew an invisible zipper and a traditional fly was worth the rental for this DVD.
This is an excellent instruction DVD on zipper application. The picture, instructions and camera angles were crystal clear. This DVD is so well made and covers all zipper applications I would purchase it after having rented it. Worth the rent and worth the purchase!
This video was not very long, but Rosebud was able to explain all the zipper installation techniques that I wanted to know in this video. If you have been afraid of sewing an invisible zipper in a garment like I have-Fear No More. This video will be able to teach you everything you want to know about zippers. The instructions are good and so is the video shots. I learned a lot in this video and feel more confident.
