This presented an excellent overview of the entire process of remodeling an unfinished basement, but was very light on details. I got what I wanted out of it, which was a sense of the order in which things should be done (plumbing, framing, electrical, walls, ceilings, cabinetry, flooring last), and some general tips for how to do certain things (E.g., to frame out a block wall, attach the frame to the floor with adhesive and powder-fired nails, to the block with adhesive, and to the ceiling rafters with nails.) However, if you're looking for a thorough treatment of how to do specific things (such as install a fireplace or a bathroom) that they did over the course of the show, you're out of luck. Still, for someone interested in the big picture, it's definitely worth watching.
I didn't like this video. It did give an overview of their particular project -however, it was presented as "look at me do this, then look at me do something else". They jumped from plumbing to electrical, explaining a little, but only a broad superficial level. You could not recreate anything from this video. it did give some interesting ideas. If you are interested in actually learning "how to do something", this is not the video for you.
