Beginner's Guide to Ribbonwork with Helen Gibb

...with Helen Gibb

Misc Crafts how-to video: Beginner's Guide to Ribbonwork with Helen Gibb by Helen Gibb 5_bulb Review this video!

The DVD covers 24 ribbonwork lessons - that's right 24 lessons! That translates into a whopping 2 hour DVD! This is no whimpy one topic, one technique short DVD. You get so much more for your money - and it's money well spent because you get to see Helen actually showing you the techniques that she uses to make her beautiful ribbon flowers - close up! After you've seen all the demonstrations and lessons you'll be really motivated to get out your ribbons and start making ribbon flowers! And what exactly is on this DVD - well . . . .everything! The lessons include - u-gathers, tubes, petals, folding ribbon, and leaves. There are lots of close up, over Helen's shoulder views showing how to do folded roses, vintage flat roses, cabochon roses, coil roses, tea roses, rosettes and all their variations, pansies, poppies, carnations, bachelor buttons, berries, bell flowers, and 5 leaves. There are also three design segments one of which is how to make the lovely ribbon bracelets.

I have read Helen's books in the past and while I have been able to create some of the flowers this DVD helped me tremendously. It makes it so much easier to understand when I watch her do the ones I have had problems with. This is a great teaching tool.

I really loved this Helen Gibb video, and each time I watched, I picked up extra nuances I had missed the time before. This is a must for anyone who is serious about learning ribbonwork. Helen has tips to offer that were eye-opening for me, and I've been involved in ribbonwork on a limited basis for a couple of years. I had unintentionally restricted myself to a ribbonwork guide by another ribbon guru, thinking all along there was nothing left to learn. Boy, was I ever wrong! Finding Helen's video was like opening a marvelous treasure chest. The riches of expertise and wisdom Helen imparts to the viewer are wonderfully presented in this video by the queen of ribbonwork.
