I found this video informative. He does a great job demonstrating the correct time to apply the leaf by showing you the results of applying too early, applying at ideal time, and too late. He also offers tips on how to blend sheets of leaf without a visible seam. The video production is high quality.
This is a great dvd for goldleafing! I found this to be very good on the what to use and how to use it!! overall outsatnding!
Gary Jensen is an excellent instructor. This video is well planned and is great for learning gold leafing.
I rented this dvd and was very surprised. The quality, instruction, and techniques are super.Sometimes having a book just doesn't do it enough. After watching this I did some leafing and it turned out very nice. This has opened up a new world for me understanding gold leafing. The key is in not rushing the process. John A.
Very informative & interesting with attention to details...I would recommend to anyone wanting to get their fingers in the gold!
I have been painting cars and doing bodywork as a side-line for about 15 years. I am now getting more into the custom field and maybe as a full time gig. This video was very informative and clear, covered the basics very well and gave some excellent ideas on how to get some great looks out of your leaf with different ideas on burnishing. The one thing I would have liked to have seen are some ways to cure some of the common mistakes and problems that will inevitably arise whether you are new to this or pro, also more info on the pros and cons of comp. leaf vs. real gold would have been nice. I would definitely recommend this video for anyone looking to add the 'Midas' touch to their custom. Chuck
A very good DVD, but also really fast paced, so keep your finger on the pause button. I wish there had been some thing about fixing mistakes.
