Long range shooting expert Darrell Holland takes you through a course of instruction guaranteed to improve your long range shooting skills. The initial discussion focuses on the rifle, ballistics, cartridges, and bullets. Judging range and equipment calibration are covered, along with a selection of optics and range finders. Shooting techniques are covered from the point of both a hunter and a tactical shooter. Darrell shows tips for bench and field shooting positions, and demonstrates them along with expedient methods and accessories for optimum accuracy. You'll see some incredible shooting at ranges out to 600 yards and learn how to make those shots. On a rainy day recently, I used the methods taught by Darrell in this course to score head shots three for three at 360 yards and three for three body shots on metal silhouettes at 600 yards. All in light rain with changing wind conditions

A very informative video on setup of a hunting rifle that anyone can do and very good tips on setup for the shot in the field would recommend to anyone who wants to improve their rifle and shooting skills.
This installment by Darrell Holland is the very best on the topic of Long Range Shooting I've seen. I'd rent this one before any of the others on Smartflix.
DVD was pretty good. Picked up a few pointers. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in long range shooting.
Very limited in detailed information. If you are going to reveal secrets of long range shooting then by all means spill the beans. This video was more geared to proper gear set up which is crucial however, if I were to instruct viewers on the secrets of long range precision shooting, I would discuss in detail and by example trigger squeeze, breathing, range estimation via different examples of mil dot ranging with different size targets and ranges. Just talking about a subject with out demonstrating by detailed example leaves the viewer unsure. Estimating wind is challenging but deserves a bit of discussion. Using instruments, close range objects as well as objects near the target to determine and guesstimate wind direction will take practice. Again detailed tips would enhance learning and give a competitor to long range competition,or hunting at long ranges a better sense of confidence. In closing, this video was still informative and great for the beginner or novice.
Introductory talking. Lacks emphasis on techniques in my point of view. Still worth watching
Extremly helpful for anyone seriously interested in long distance shooting 400-800 yards.
