A great learning companion for the beginner and novice as it teaches you what you need to fearlessly begin your journey with ZBrush.

Unfortunately I do not share the same enthusiasm the other reviewer expresses for this product. I tried to work my way about half way through the DVD until I decided to give up, and to order a different one. I can’t imagine that the author ever handed this DVD to a novice and asked him/her to follow the tutorials. On numerous occasions the narrator switches to different tools (obviously using Keyboard Shortcuts), without mentioning what he just did and how to do this switch. On one occasion he explains the use of a softening feature that turns out to mess up the sculpture, so instead of explaining what just happened the narrator quickly switches to a different tool, fixes the problem without a word, and continues his lecture like what he explained before had actually worked. Overall this is quickly thrown together lecture, without any QC, intended to make a quick buck. Seeing and hearing (the sound is bad too) something like this really makes one appreciate the DVDs Gnomon is putting out there. You can find free online tutorials that are better than this one. Sorry but not everyone proficient with a software is also a good teacher.
