What a thoroughly great tutorial...even for total novices!
The technique covered here is fairly involved but well explained. She provides detailed instructions that anticipate your questions and concerns. Not for the novice.
I now understand why Sarah Shriver's work is so fantastic. There are many steps that go into one of her canes. After viewing Judy Belcher's DVD which included a chapter on Tessellations, using a very different technique-I found Sarah's technique fascinating as well. Both are great DVDs.
I found this dvd to be one of the most helpful I've ever seen about making canes....it was very easy to follow for the most part and opened my eyes about the process...I thought it was amazing and learned a great deal. The things I learned I can use for other aspects of polymer clay too...it was extremely helpful and well done.
Excellent video. I highly recommend it. Easy to follow instructions that produce beautiful results.
Very good video. Lots of closeup shots. I feel confident that I could make a intricate kaleidoscope cane without too much trouble.
I can't overstate my excitement about this DVD! It was wonderful! So inspiring! I'm going to start my experimenting this very week to see how well I can follow her instructions. I watched the DVD about four times, so I'm sure I'll remember it. Her instructions are clear, concise and while they might be somewhat intimidating to a beginner, are just what I was looking for to really give me something to aim for! I loved it.
