I rented all 5 dvd's and got a lot out of them. Robinson is a top notch painter of seascapes and is an excellent teacher. No matter your skill level, you will learn a lot from these.
Artist, Students and Teachers,
I thought it was a good video. I am going to get as many of his as I can. I still would have like to see more defined steps. If I was making a Video or teaching a class, I would get each student to a defined step. For example: This is my layout drawing...camera close-up and pause. Then I am laying in my color here and here...camera close-up and pause. That would give the student clearer instructions and make it easier to follow and duplicate the painting being shown. We are learning by copying...later we can make our own art.

I really like this series. Although he makes it look easy (and it's not) each of these videos helped my understanding of what I'm seeing when looking at a beach scene and gave me many new ideas and solutions.
