...with Robert Dunlap

Armorer's Courses how-to video: H&K 91,93,94 / CETME / G-3 Rifles Armorer's Course by Robert Dunlap 4_bulb Review this video!

Typical of fine German engineering, the unique roller lock and fluted chamber system on the HK series of rifles provides excellent reliability and performance. For the first time ever, AGI gives you a look inside this rifle and clearly explains how the roller lock system works. A detailed demonstration of disassembly is given along with identification of two specific parts that should never be removed. Some rare US variants are shown along with a number of hard to find accessories including the .22 LR conversion kit. Applicable to H&K 91, 93 and 94 (MP5).

Once again Robert Dunlap and AGI made a great video. Everything is covered on the H&K platform, from the basics of stripping down your weapon, to advanced repairs. As usual, you cannot go wrong with this AGI Armorer Course if you are looking for H&K information.

Not a very good video at all. I was very disappointed when I watched this as I was hoping learn something that wasn't in the owner's manual. When AGI advertises their armorer's videos they state complete disassembly to the very last piece, that wasn't that case in this video. Video does do a very good job in explaining the history and function of the roller bolt however. But, if you are looking for an actual armorer's course, look elsewhere. This covered basic field stripping, very minor disassembly of the trigger assembly, and some disassembly of the bolt. I was disappointed that removal or installation of the barrel was missing as well as disassembly of the magazine catch. It was mentioned but not shown or really even discussed how. In other parts of the video the instructor said, that's hard and I am not going to take that apart as you need a special tool. Well I expect that an armorer's course would show me how to do it right and discuss what tools I should buy. No mention of what types of tools, sizes of punches, etc to buy or how to use them. Also, the rear sight assembly was mentioned, but disassembly was never shown and the instructor said you can figure that out on your own, maybe so but I expected a demonstration.

Save your 10 bucks and find a real HK armorer's manual, much more helpful.

Explains what should be in your parts set, how to check headspace, basic demill procedures, assembly of parts onto receiver is explained at basic level, trigger pack conversion to semi auto is covered satisfactorily, shows no welding and very little actual workmanship, lots of history of the roller lock type explained in detail, should have spent the time showing more workmanship.

I liked it. Took my rifle apart for the first time after watching this video. I felt a lot better about doing it after watching the video. 2k for the rifle....10 bucks for the dvd and piece of mind, kinda makes sense don it?
