This is a great learning tool and takes one through the Poser program quite well. However, it should be noted that the DVD is designed to run on a computer. It does not run on a DVD player.
Even though the DVD takes you through most every menu and interface item in poser, the presentation is so bad it is difficult to watch. The Instructor's computer can hardly handle the program and lags badly, making the demonstrations d r a g.
Even worse, the instructor uses one of three or so annoying catch phrases in almost every sentence---really, almost every sentence. "We understand that...", "that of the...", " go ahead and..." over and over and over! It will drive you nuts.
If all you want is to be led through each tool and menu item, then you may be able to watch this. If you want any insight or useful tips and tricks, don't bother.
Davis S. was too kind in his review.
He is right about the tutorial computer not being able to handle the program. The lag between each move of the cursor in the demonstrations was also confusing. The cursor is being moved all over the screen instead of deliberate execution.
The tutorial was like skimming the contents of a text book instead of complete demonstrations with related information.
Yes! The instructor uses a couple of very annoying phrases in almost every sentence. "We understand that...", "that of the...", " go ahead and..." over and over again.
This was a bad experience. I kept hoping it would get better. It did not! It was very painful to listen to and watch.
Don't bother renting this DVD. It's certainly not worth the $15.00. This was a total waste of my time and money.
I'll go back to the tutorial on the disk and work through all of the processes.
