This is the best cowboy action lever gun video I have come across. Evil Roy knows his stuff and shows you all. I counted 5 shells in the air at once! Accurate and ridiculously fast fire. He breaks down everything from which guns are common on the circuit, cleaning the guns,features to look for when purchasing a lever gun, timers, dry fire drills of all sorts, shooting drills with metal poppers, q targets and all in a structured, measured method that lets you monitor your progress and learn the most information in the shortest period of time. This man is focused.

While not quite as extensive as the pistols version, I still learned a lot and highly recommend it.
My interest was to see how a new doctrine of shooting the lever action might have developed out of Cowboy Action Shooting. I'm not in the CAS scene so it was completely new to me. In that regard info on rifles, customizing, shooting techniques were great. Any shooter who had seen these guys in action would already know that. However, Evil Roy is a top shooter so when he picks out certain details to focus on you know they are important.
A lot of the tape is concerned with drills, and action shooters who are looking for training tips should find those useful. most of the drills could be done as dry fire practice if you don't have a place to shoot regularly. Some of the drills are the same in the pistol tape, so there is some repetition (better get used to that if you want to shoot well). I think this tape is just as good value as the pistol tape, but the pistol tape is longer due to the different combinations of left and right side shooting and exchanges.
Easy to understand. Lots of useful information
This video was very informative,I got a lot out of it. It is full of tips and tricks on how to make you a more competitive rifle shooter. What I liked best is how Evil Roy tells you how to practice at home and at the range. I would recommend it to all new shooters and those with some experience.

I liked the dvd and would recommend it to anyone, especially to beginners in the cowboy action sport. He stressed certain safety aspects of the rifle and eyewear. The DVD showed practice drills, both dry fire and live fire. These drills if practiced will improve your time.
