Building an understanding of fundamental Math concepts is essential for a student to move on and conquer more advanced math and science. Understanding addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percents is absolutely critical. If a student doesn't master these topics early on, it can lead to the "Math Is Hard" syndrome.

Excellent! I am a homeschooling mom. Never being a whiz at math, I have always struggled to teach it. I began with the basics even though my kids are older and while we didn't need the basic math teaching, I have one child who still struggled with my instructions and examples for long division. With the use of this DVD, it finally clicked for him. Now I am anxiously awaiting the next DVD for more advanced teaching.I wish I had known of this service earlier, I wouldn't have stressed so greatly over math instruction and I'm sure my kids would be farther along in their math understanding.
I have homeschooled for a number of years now and always felt I was shortchanging my kids with math as it was never my favorite subject, nor am I 'math-minded.' I wish I had found these DVDs earlier with my older kids but my younger ones are now benefiting from them. I struggled to teach long division to my youngest and he never quite got it until he watched this DVD. With only the time alloted on this DVD for long division, the instructor said the right things and using repetition and practice problems, it just clicked for him and after only one viewing! I was thrilled and am now ordering the second DVD in this particular set.
This is a great program! I would definitely recommend using this program. The DVDs come quickly and they give you a prepaid package to send them back. So easy you don't need to worry about a thing. This DVD was excellent. Only one minor complaint, I wish you were able to keep them longer. Other than that it was a great experience.
