Seven Day Deer Camp is the DVD for you if you want to learn how to build a deer camp or a weekend getaway. You can do this in 7 days. This is a small hunting camp built the old way. Buckshot started with a bare piece of ground and in 7 days had the main outside up and sealed from the weather. There is still lots of work to do to make it a comfortable camp, but the point is they had the main construction done and you could stay in it and be out of the weather. This was all new construction for them because he did not use one sheet of plywood, OSB board, or T-111. That is right, this was done all with 4 x 4's, 2 x 4's, 2 x 6's and 1 x 5-6-7-8-9 rough cut cedars. What a great learning experience because they build the trusses right on site. The only tools we used was hammer, chain saw, 19.2 volt drill and circular saw, tin snips, level, and post hole digger. The really cool part is the whole camp only cost just under $500.00. You read that right, under $500.00 because the guy had a sawmill and he tells you how you too can take your trees in to be turned into lumber. Used door and windows, recycled metal roofing. We show you how to make a pocket window that opens inside the walls. A really affordable insulation and how to seal it to keep out bugs.
