Larry Shultz has been hired by professional studios such as Warner Brothers, and Foundation Imaging to create easily animatable characters using rigs exactly like the training on this DVD.
Finally someone demystifies the process and shows you the do's and don'ts and most importantly why! Most users have read online about the rigging process, now finally there is some formal training available to LightWave 3D users.

This set was very interesting to watch. I learned a lot about APS that reading alone just wasn't conveying. Sometimes pictures are worth more than words and this time was one of them. The instructor did a good job of explaining what APS is and how powerful it is for the new version. He showed you different ways to use it and how to apply it to your project.
The lighting guide was useful because it shows you how to light up your scene without slowing you down with all the theory and textbook learning. He shows you straight away how to light up a scene and how to use lighting setups to get the results you want.
The Rigging guide was useful in that it showed me some new and faster ways to rig my models. The techniques shown were useful to me. It shows you how to get your model to do what you want without a lot of problems.
I would recommend this entire set for someone who is looking to get a look at APS for Lightwave 9, how to light your models to get the best look and how to rig your models. I enjoyed the fact that adding all of these together helped my overall experience with Lightwave.
