On September 10, 2003, the Miami Valley Garden Railway Society got together to build a garden railroad for Bobby Premus.
Bobby LOVES trains! But Bobby is confined to a wheelchair and can’t build one. So Bobby’s family gathered the track, wood, tools and other supplies for the MVGRS club members.
They arrived around 7:30 in the morning. By 4:30 in the afternoon, there was a train running, and Bobby was very happy!
Thanks to all the builders, you did a great job!
While this isn’t a step by step guide, it will give you an idea of what it takes to go from grass to railroad.
