This set of DVD's, produced by Tim Paterek, comes in a seven disk set. It covers every step of building a lugged bicycle frame using only hand tools. Chapter markers make it easy to locate particular scenes. The only power tools used in this set of DVD's are a hand operated die grinder, a drill press, and an electric hand drill. The primary joining technique used in this instructional tape is 56% cad free silver brazing.

Tim's work and attention to detail are second to none. This is definitely one of those videos that you need to watch several times to get the most out of it. He gives so many helpful techniques that I recommend getting a notebook and taking notes. Even if you aren't planning on building a lot of frames (I just want to build one) it's well worth watching this video. Every question I have about building frames was answered by Tim's videos. There are so many times during the course of watching these videos that Tim would mention doing something and explain why he did it, and I thought to myself "I never would have thought of that, but it makes perfect sense."
This video is not one of those "entertaining" videos, so don't expect your non-biking friends or family members to enjoy this video. But if you are into bikes, these videos will tell you more than you ever wanted to know.
