Mr. Shuey is my own favorite amoungst the AGI instructors. As in others of his videos that I have watched, he is here lucid, complete, and authentic. His manner is relaxed but focused; he's easy to both watch and listen to. There are different approaches to glass bedding, but the one Mr. Shuey demonstrates here is as good as any of them and very good for a first time practitioner. I wish more of the AGI videos had been done by this fellow.
The video quality of AGI gunsmithing DVDs is not the best; I would describe this one as fair. However, the content of Glass Bedding Rifles is excellent. The instructions and methods shown give you exactly what you need to do a glass bedding project with confidence. This is the second glass bedding DVD that I've rented from SmartFlix. In my opinion, it is the best of the two that they currently have.
Helpful information for a "first time bedder". The video revealed several "tricks of the trade" designed to keep the first time bedder out of serious trouble. I would definitely recommend this video.
Excellent video, highly recommended especially at the SmartFlix price of $9.99. I would not hesitate to recommend this video to anyone interested in glass bedding their rifles.
Lots of good information, but the work area could have been illuminated better to show detail of the bedding material going into the rifle action area. But overall, I learned a few things.
Very good information, but the detail area was hard to see. The video would have benefited from better lighting while filming. But worth the price of renting. I learned quite a bit.
