Creating Killer Skullz

...with Cross Eyed

Airbrushing how-to video: Creating Killer Skullz by Cross Eyed 5_bulb Review this video!

Just as the successful hunter knows how his prey thinks, the successful artist knows the anatomy of his subject. According to kustom master Cross-Eyed, "Out of hundreds of skulls I've seen painted on motorcycles, only about 2% were rendered correctly! Believe it or not, most artists attempt skulls without really having any clue what they look like." Creating Killer Skullz shows you how to make stock, modified, and hybrid skulls stand above the rest with form, dimension, shape, and personality. As a bonus, this presentation includes review of 12 examples of skull paintings.

Most excellent! SmartFlix rules! What a great way to see if a video is worth going out and purchasing first. These guys are great and did what they said they would do and the video came when they promised and in a very short period of time. Couldn't be easier to return when my time is up.

This guy in the airbrushing video is great! I plan to buy the video - it's that good! He has to be the best - he is funny but tells it like it is and it's great watching a pro!! Worth the rent, worth the watch, worth buying the video so you can watch it for more than a week!

Really good video, the guy is funny and tells it how it is. I liked how he took a completed skull and changed it.

Great video. This guy understands that to master something, you must truly understand it. He takes you through all aspects of what a REAL human skull should look like, before adding and modifying it with your imagination. And not only shows you what to do, but also what not to do. A+

Cross-Eyed can really convey verbally what he is doing visually - at the same time. This rare quality makes this a great DVD. Of the thousands of artists Airbrush Action mag. could've picked to do a skull video, Cross-Eyed was chosen for good reason. This MAY NOT be a beginner's DVD, but it is definitely a must-see.

I really enjoyed this DVD by Blake(Cross-Eyed)McCully.It's the second one I've rented by him in a series of DVD's he has out.As he points out at the beginning of the video, this DVD is not so much about airbrushing (technique)in rendering a convincing skull as it is about using solid reference material of a skull, and with that reference material, properly understanding -then airbrushing from a stock skull into a modified "bad ass" skull based on good solid reference.Even though this guy earned a degree in graphic design from the Alberta College of Art & Design and was enrolled in the Masters of Illustration program at New York's School of Visual Arts, he's so down to earth and tells it like it is, with sense of humor to boot.

This one would be good for the beginner, as there isn't really anything there in the way of instruction, it's actually about studying and becoming familiar with a subject, what ever it is, and in this case it's the human skull. Well presented though!

Another informative video from Cross Eyed. He takes the viewer through the process he uses of designing and painting a skull, from proper proportion and lighting to adding expression. Highly recommended.

Cross eyed has good instruction videos as well as good tips if you are paying close attention to what is being said, this video is a lot about the importance of correct or good references but still over all he puts out good videos as you also get a feeling of his personality in his videos.

Man cross eyed is an awesome ab artist. There is not a whole lot of ab on the video, but when he does ab he makes it look so easy. If your looking for a video about skull features and balance then this is worth renting. Mike N.
