I didn't really care for Translucence in Layers. I thought the editing of the film was poor. The main thing I didn't like was the fact that you are told at the very beginning that you won't be able to reproduce this technique because the artist makes up his own body of materials, that really isn't clay, but more of a glass, so you can't expect the same results. He seemed like a really nice guy and he is very talented, but it is hard to watch without getting very drowsy.
Not recommended. Poor quality video. Blurry and non professional filming. DVD defect problem with repeating movie scenes at 11 minutes of filming and also at 22 minutes. Very boring because of lack of actual instructional tips. I feel the artist was preserving his trade secrets and showed little valuable info. The audio practical put me to sleep. beware.
