Boy oh boy, this is one DVD to own if you really want to get through to the nuts and bolts of masking techniques.
So much is explained and renting this DVD for a week is just not enough time to absorb the info offered here.
Thank you Smartflix for having this in your offerings to be able to see and know if this is something to either purchase or if your the type to pick it all up in a couple of viewings either way this hits the mark.
Ben Willmore gives an excellent understanding of the whys and hows of Photoshop's underbelly and how to get those crisp, usually very hard to separate areas like hair and things in that realm.
Willmore is always articulate and succinct. A presenter of few words but each is well chosen to exclude ambiguity and make learning quick and painless.
Excellent review of advanced masking techniques. Ben Willmore is one of the best instructors available. Easy to follow techniques.

This is a great tutorial DVD. It is well laid out, divided into seven lessons with the author demonstrating on screen the methods used. He explains the shortcut key strokes for both Mac and PC. I watched this DVD several times and made notes as I went. His explanation of the lasso, masking, and other tools as well use of the blur filters was outstanding. If you want to learn how to replace the backgrounds in your photos then this DVD is for you. Highly recommended.
