Using Betty´s method, you quilt each piece before it is assembled. By doing it this way, you work with manageable pieces and the bulk of your quilt project is always to the left of your sewing machine. Plus, you end up with a 2-sided quilt every time. Once you´ve learned the techniques, a king size quilt is just as easy to make as a placemat or trivet.
