Three master technicians show you how to build an airframe from plans to completed structure. While this Dvd is outstanding for folks who want to build an airplane, it's also great viewing for anyone interested in welding tubing, whether you're thinking about building a trailer for your truck, a bicycle, a go-kart, or anything else. The videos cover jig construction, measuring parts, cutting parts, fitting tubs together, bending tubes, tack welding, and gas welding. However, you get more than what you'd find in a typical book - you also get the accumulated shop wisdom from the instructors, with lots of little hints that you'd never think of on your own...this is what comes from building project after project...and teaching student after student. Each video is digitally filmed, digitally edited and digitally mastered.

I would have been disappointed had I bought this set, but the $16 rental was worth the price. Lots of good tips delivered in a folksy way, after awhile you felt right in the room with the guys. I'd recommend the 2 discs since disc 1 just stops and the action carries over to disc 2. Art
Lots of good information. Just enough banter to keep interest, without being annoying. Clearly targeted at aircraft builders, but plenty of good info for torch fabricator, particularly round tube.
This video looks like it was shot in someone's basement with no script and bad videography. I ended up fast forwarding through it.
I am currently building an airframe and found this set extremely helpful. The program was well thought out,had concepts explained thoroughly, and was filmed well. It includes cutting & shaping, setting torches, using jigs, and other aspects used in completing small and large pieces. I think the production quality was good and the program answered many questions that I had. I highly recommend this for someone who is starting to work with 4130 choromoly tubing.
