If you've got the machines, no worries! I was hoping for a "lower tech" method of building with tools readily available. This guy even uses a wrapping machine. What's hand made about that?
I liked the DVD. The production values where good and the content was what I expected. It was especially beneficial to me as I had done extensive reading about the process before seeing the video, and needed to see the actual building (Opps - "Making") process. So some prior knowledge about rod-making is a good thing.
