Change and Motion: Calculus Made Clear

...with Professor Michael Starbird

Math how-to video: Change and Motion: Calculus Made Clear by Professor Michael Starbird 5_bulb Review this video!

Watch and learn as the distinguished Professor Michael Starbird teaches calculus in a way that helps us apply it to the world around us. This DVD shows how the useful tool of calculus has made it possible for expansive bridges to be built, spaceships to be built and flown into space, and how it can be used to predict patterns for the future, such as population or revenue earned in a business.

Professor Starbird breaks the whole concept down into the two simple ideas that it is: the derivative and the integral. This DVD brings calculus to a whole new level, one that you likely weren’t exposed to in school, while using examples and variations that anyone can understand and apply.

Learn and understand one of the most powerful and useful tools from an experienced and enthusiastic Professor. You’ll be mesmerized as the host is able to find uses for calculus that you never may have thought of before. Most importantly, you’ll learn several basic and advanced skills with crystal-clear instruction.

By far one of the best DVD series I have ever seen! I would have given anything to have had access to this course when I struggled through Calulus.

It's important to note that this is really not a "math" course as the mechanics of calculus is really set aside and the focus is on the concepts of change and motion (the very basis of calculus.) So even if you don't have a strong background in mathmatics, you will still be able to understand 90%+ of the information on these DVDs.

If you know anyone who is in college and about to take a calculus sequence tell them to order these quick - it will save their sanity!
