...with Robert Dunlap

How-To Video: AK-47 Armorer's Course (covers AKS/MAK90/AK47) by Robert Dunlap 4_bulb Review this video!

The Automat-Kalashinikov (AK-47) is without a doubt the most prolific rife ever produced. Over 50 million of these "assault rifles" have been manufactured in Russia, Bulgaria, China, Egypt, Yugoslavia, and other countries combined. Tens of thousands of the semi-auto variant have been sold in the USA, including the MAK-90, NHM-91, SA-93, Maadi, Valmets as well as others. This armorer's course will explain in detail why this design is so rugged and how to insure continued reliability. Close-ups are shown of all the internal parts using a cutaway gun and complete step by step assembly/disassembly is demonstrated. Numerous simple repairs are explained and a list of critical spare parts presented. Instructed by Master Gunsmith Robert Dunlap. Applicable to all makes and models.

I've come to expect the best from AGI and they have yet to dissapoint me. This video is an excellent look at the Ak-47 for someone looking to get intermediate level knowledge on the subject. The explanations are excellent as usual, as is the instruction. This is a must watch AK-47 video for the budding armorer. Great video.

Excellent instructional video. Covers absolutly everything about the Ak47 except live fire. Did not cover the sighting system and avaliable alternatives. I liked the added bonus of the 75 round drum and its function. This does not cover little things like trigger slap under full auto and the full auto shear. This is for a semi automatic AK47.

Robert Dunlop does his usual competant work in showing viewers the function, disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of the AK-47. However, I will rate this DVD with only 3 stars for several reasons. First, it is noticeably dated. And because it is dated, no new accessories are covered. In fact, almost no accessories are covered besides drum magazines. Also, the DVD is about one hour and twenty minutes in length- very short considering all the different aspects of this firearm that could be covered. Overall, I have no regrets about renting this DVD.

This is a great video covering all aspects of the AK, as are all of the AGI Armorer Courses (that I have seen anyway). Robert Dunlap covers a good deal of information about normal problems, easy fixes, how to maintain the AK. Overall it's a great resource for all people interested in the AK regardless of your gunsmithing skill level.

This is a clear presentation on a simple gun. Not much goes wrong with it, so it is fairly easy to fix with ordinary tools.

This is a very basic familiarization course for someone who is totally new to the AK family of firearms. The video is of poor quality and the presentation is most unprofessional. Save your money.
