I thought it was a good informative video on rebuilding the 9". I think if you have a mechanical apptitude you could rent this and rebuild a 9" with no problems. He covers the how and why and the best part is how to get it done right without special tools. Most us don't have them anyway and he clearly demonstrates that they are not nessecary to get it done. One thing not clear, at least to me, was the description of the video. You will need to rent both videos to see the whole rebuild. Ok thats my 2 cents. Very pleased with the whole transaction. Victor
SmartFlix: Rebuilding the Ford 9" Rear End.
Both DVD Disc 1 & 2, were very helpful in the rebuilding of the Ford 9" Rear End.
1) The DVD's showed what needed to be done. 2) The DVD's showed how to do each step, the right way and wrong ways. 3) Explained what each of the measurements should be and how to make these measurements. 4) These DVD's were very easy to follow in inspections and rebuilds.

DVDs covering how to rebuild the Ford 9" Rear End.
Both of the DVDs were excellent.
1) How to remove the third member, including safety precautions. 2) How to take the third member apart, including safety precautions. 3) Inspecting the old parts for wear and how to perform these inspections. 4) How to mark the parts that were to be re-used. 5) Rebuilding of the rear end, step by step. 6) Rebuilding specifications on torque measurements.
They are very excellent training aids !!!

Video was thorough and well done. Even a novice like myself gained the confidence to tackle this complex rebuild. All the specs and all the tech in addition to some little know stuff was there. Look at this before you have your shade tree mechanic buddy do a rebuild for you.
Disc 2 is every bit as good as Disc 1. Everything you always wanted to know about a Ford 9" limited slip and were afraid to ask. Step by step tips and tricks
