Learn statistical terms and processes, from acclaimed professor Michael Starbird that will help you more often in real world situations than those in the classroom. Terms such as mean, median, percentile, quartile, statistically significant, and bell curve will finally make perfect sense independently and synergistically.
Professor Starbird will use realistic examples that will help you learn how to extract meaningful conclusions and facts from data as raw as long lists of numbers. Let him show you how to calculate such values as a baseball batter's average, whether or not it would be smart to buy last year's high-performing stock, and how a tax accessor calculates the market value of a house. Get ahead in so many areas and subjects by learning how to translate data into valuable information the easy way – with the dedicated and enthusiastic Professor Starbird as your guide.

A great introduction to statistics! I am a six-sigma master black belt and for all my students I make these DVDs a requirement!
The teaching is clear, concise, and well thought out. Teaching statistics is very, very difficult because it is thought of as such a "dry" subject. But having a course on DVDs lets you take a break whenever you want to and come back to the lecture refreshed and ready to learn.
great course for anyone who never took statistics and just wants a working understanding of the basic underlying theories.....liked it so much I ended up purchasing the set for my collection. thanks for carrying it SmartFlix:)
