Doug Remschneider demonstrates how to create incredible colors with step by step instructions. He makes 15 different beads, including "Dougie Pink", which is one of his signature colors. As an added feature to this video, he provides 10 additional recipes for amazing color combinations using techniques outlined in this video.

Remcshneider has been flame-working glass for 12 years. Having won two consecutive Niche Awards in 1999 and 2000 for flame-worked glass, he quickly became known for his animated goblets and vessels. Remschneider's work is in galleries across the country, and has been purchased by major corporations.

Good beginning information and color recipes. I thought it was great for me just starting to play with the boro.

This was an excellent video for lampworkers who are interested in beginning to work with Borosilicate. He (Doug Remschneider) works with a small range of 12 Glass Alchemy colors so the investment in glass for his recipes doesn't cost a fortune.

His techniques are simple, but give you a good place to begin experimenting. The technical section at the beginning, as he says in the video, is the most important because it gives you the understanding you need to successfully expand beyond the techniques in the video. He goes over everything in real time and often shows steps twice from different angles. He then shows the same steps using different colors to demonstrate how those simple steps can create different effects. He demonstrates several techniques this way.

If you take notes, I think that renting this video is well worth the money and much more cost effective than actually purchasing the video. I don't think there's so much information that you can't absorb it in a week.

This is an excellent beginning Boro DVD. As a beginner, I really enjoyed it and watched it more than once. If you are using Glass Alchemy you will really find it useful.

Even though this is for intermedeate artists, it helped me ( beginner ) just watching how the glass flows and what it is supposed to look like. I got some good ideas and tips from this. I was able to apply things I learned from this video right away.

This is a great video for the beginner. Easy to follow and very clear instructions. Doug provides some really pretty recipes so you can start making great boro beads right away. He makes it look so easy, and it really is. I had beautiful beads the very first time I tried following his instructions. Way to go Dougie. Nice music too.

This was a good video if you are interested in different "recipes" to get different specific boro colors to work. I didn't really find it to be of that much use as a "how to" for managing the glass, etc.

Great DVD! It explained all the basic information I needed, but couldn't find elsewhere. I would definitely recommend this DVD to others looking for basic information about working with borosilicate glass. Although Remschneider used GA glass in the DVD, you can use the techniques and apply them to all other hard glass.

Another great video from Doug Remschneider. He makes bunches of beads so you get indoctrinated in correct procedure. He gives recipies for twenty or so color combos. I couldn't ask for more.

Much better than his other ones. Cool beads but remember that flame chemistry has a lot to do with your final outcome.

I received a good amount of detailed information in this DVD. You can watch Doug R. make his color combinations - he gives explanations of what he's doing and why. And he gives a summary of his color 'recipes' in one section.

This is very good instructional DVD.

This video is really worth renting. It took my boro beads up a notch or 2, that's for sure! I will rent all the Doug R. video classes that I can find!

The video gives very good images of the finished product and clear instructions. It has the best explanation of striking colors and how to work them I have heard so far.
