This was the first Peter McGrain video I've seen, but it won't be the last. As a glass fuser, I am very interested in any information on melding glass fusing with glass painting. This video certainly fits the bill. Detailed instructions provided by an obvious expert. He makes it all look incredibly easy. I can't wait to buy the brushes and paints and get started with this technique. The extraordinary beauty of the pieces created by this technique can give your reputation as a glass artist a terrific boost. In addition, the art is "scaleable"; it can be as small as a desktop art piece or as big as a mural on a wall. If you are looking to add glass painting to your artistic bag of tricks, you won't go wrong with this video.

This DVD combines traditional glass painting with fusing. It is very interesting (provided you've seen the first DVDs). If you're into painting and fusing, this is a MUST see.

The presentation is scripted and very well done - expressive, not droning. The techniques shared lend themselves particularly to Mr. McGrain's style of work, but there are enough specific examples and bits of advice that make much of the information transferable to other styles. I also rented Lesson Two in Mr. McGrain’s Traditional Glass Painting series at the same time. I think I’d agree with the previous reviewer that to get the most out of this video you should probably watch at least Lesson Two, first. If you’ve never done glass painting, you’ll want to rent Lesson One to get the basics, like what kind of paints to use; how to mix the paints, etc. I enjoyed this video and would recommend it to fusers looking for ways to add uniqueness to their work.

I found this video to be very clear and easy to understand. This video won't leave you wondering what to do next or how did he do that part?

Peter McGrain is a good instructor, with plenty of helpful information which is logically presented and topped off with humor. His demonstrations give the knowledge needed to do this technique of painting fused glass and apply it to one's own imagery. Some may need additional technical fusing information, which he mentions can be gotten elsewhere as it is too much to cover in this focused presentation.
