I love how to videos but this one was misleading to me , he only brazes wire which is very simple to do .I was hoping to see brazing of metal plates ,pipes and sheet metal. Also close ups of the molten puddle while brazing would have been more pratical.Good video for crafters but maybe not for welders.

Several neat techniques and ideas for metal crafting. Not as detailed as I would have wished, but informative and instructional.

I picked up a few tricks... good for those wanting to do light artwork AND those needing to learn the relevent concepts for adjusting flame, knowing which materials and filler materials are best suited to one another.

I think this video was a little lacking in usefulness. Do you really need a video to show you how to braze wire together? I wanted info on structural brazing not ornamental.

The video spent only a few seconds on tourch and regulator settings. The majority of time is spent on brazing steel rods to from art objects.

This DVD had the info I needed to know as a beginning brazer (for craft work) and I would recommend it for that. I got me alot further than the book I had been following (unsuccessfully) and I was able to learn the basics quickly. For me money very well spent.

I'm a working student of welding course, (and I) find your brazing with the oxygen-acetylene torch and oxy-acty welding very understable and informative.

The production was very good on this video. However, the brazing shown was more for decorative art work. I was hoping for more info on industrial brazing. The guy was good and I did learn some things, so it's worth a rent if you want to learn about this stuff.

Could have used a faster pace but very informative.

Very informative. Lots of good examples.

I found the artists eye view camera shots to be great. Finally showing what we'd see while doing it.

Its a bit light on technical details, and not really an overall covering of the topic of brazing. I'd say it would be a good follow up to a good intro video on the topic.

Lots of examples and tips on small project work.

If you have never welded or brazed this DVD might be helpful. The instructor only showed how to braze wire. Very artistic but not very practical. He took time to explain the adjustment of the flame and drew with chalk on how it is suppose to look like. If would of been more helpful if he had put a 3 - 5 shaded lens on the camera and ACTUALLY shown what the flame is suppose to look like.

This gentleman is obviously enthusiastic about his work. He presented all the basics of brazing, along with some useful "tricks," at a good pace and with a good sense of humor. He's very up-front about mistakes he's made, and is very candid in the segment about selling your work on commission which was included at the end of the video. As others have mentioned, this video is about making art pieces, not building bridges, and some better closeups would have been helpful, but I still found the video to be very informative and entertaining.

This is a very useful, educational DVD with excellent examples and illustrations, good repetition, clear, concise instructions and good pacing. A good "start up" lesson as well as a great reminder for those of us who do occasional work with the oxy-acetylene torch. My wife, who had never before used a torch, was very excited about the lessons and immediately went out and started practicing some of the procedures she had seen for the first time in this production. She obviously had paid attention as she did a great job right off the bat!

I was very disappointed in this video. It was basically an hour of this guy sticking welding rod together to make his foolish craft items. Nothing much there. Don't waste your time or money.

Great video for the novice. Also some very good info and tips for a more experienced welder. I would highly recommend this dvd for anyone interested in oxy-acetylene welding.

The item is really mislabeled. The DVD producer, G Goehl, is in business to make little sculptures from welding wire; he brazes steel wire pieces together with an acetylene torch and he sells the sculptures on consignment to craft galleries and so on.

Goehl shows some tricks to braze copper, stainless steel, etc to steel wire. That's just about the whole video, and unless making such sculptures out of wire is your thing, the DVD is a useless discussion of "brazing with a torch"

Somewhat limited by its self serving author. I found it too rudimentary for any useful learning experience.
