Hint: the "work" is in making a good form. If you've got basic carpentry skills you're already half-way there.
He does not specifically cover poured-in-place countertops if that's what you're looking for, but most of his topics still apply.
Very good. Shows how-to and the tools needed. I'd recommend it to anyone with desire to do it yourself.
A very high quality production in terms of the camera work, lighting, sound, and meticulous selection of what information to leave in vs. out. Unlike other how-to videos, this one does an excellent job of camera close ups on the critical stuff. Cheng is a superb instructor. He shows every step and is extremely good at explaining the process. One drawback is that sometimes, there are what appear to be shameless plugs for his product line. At first, I was really disgusted by this. But after careful consideration, I realized that the products are likely helpful aids that Cheng has thoughtfully designed and created to make it highly probable that a novice will be successful in making a countertop. This DVD was very informative and really demystified the process of how to make concrete countertops.
Great video. Very thorough with enough "pace" to not keep things boring. You actually see a large kitchen countertop with a cutting board inset created through the video.

I thought it was an overall good video. Good step by step instructions however I would have liked to see a couple small segments on some more complicated tops or some how to build a top while on the counter. I guess there is only so much you can put in an introductory video. Chang seems very aware of the cleanliness and overall finish of the project which tells me that he has a lot of pride in his techniques and reputation which generally spills over into a quality product that he offers. For anyone interested in doing a concrete counter top, I would certainly recommend this video.
Enjoyed the DVD very much - lots of good info!!
The video was pretty good and the quality was good too. I learned a lot about concrete cabinets - at least enough to decide they weren't right for my house. It would've been nice if he had touched on the techniques for the more complicated designs. But overall it was very informative. I probably could build a concrete countertop if I wanted to now.
The DVD on concrete countertops is excellent! I am a professional stone fabricator and found it extremely informative and helpful in expanding my companies ability to do a range of countertops.
At first I thought I had rented a commercial DVD since there was some pushing of their own products. However, this may be necessary in producing an outstanding countertop. I was really impressed with the presentation by the foremost in building countertops and the extreme care he took to present this material completely. He covered the smallest detail. I would highly recommend this DVD to anyone considering casting a concrete countertop Outstanding DVED!!
Overall great video. The pace of the video could have been a little quicker in my opinion. I would have liked to see how the undermount sink is installed on concrete. Marble can be drilled (carefully), but I don't think the concrete would take that type of friction without cracking or turning to dust. I guess I'll be fabbing a wooden carriage underneath.
Very good video, you can create a countertop based on his information. I found the process very labor intensive, but the end product is beautiful.
Great movie! Provided you have some carpentry and concrete experience, you should be able to build a concrete countertop without too much problem.
One of the things that really caught my eye was the attention to detail, including the caulking of the form, and the masking of the form to keep from inadvertently making a mess. There are a lot of good tips in here about how to keep your work clean and professional-looking.
Overall, a great video. I'll probably rent it again at some point.

Very informative, enough info to get anyone started
A good overview of concrete countertops, but for a very basic counter top. I had rented it in the hopes that they would show some of the more complex countertops techniques (if you look at the website, things like rounded corners, backsplashes, molded sinks, built in dish drains, etc) however it did not.
I would recommend the video as a primer, but you'll still need to put in some forethought and do some studying to do more complex projects.
Excellent. After watching the video, I'm confident I could complete a serious project. The only additional information that would have been nice is a quick look at the molds he uses to accomplish complex curves such as ellipses and concrete supports for the countertops.
This is a great dvd, camera work and audio is top notch. Mr. Cheng will have you up and running in short order! wish he had more videos available. Don't hesitate to rent this one you won't be sorry.
Good video - tons of info, well presented. One minor irritation: the presenter sells a packaged cement mix that he uses in the instructions, so it's not entirely "vendor-free".
A very thorough and understandable video lecture/demonstration. He is advocating the purchase of his companies products, but it seems like it just makes things easier so that didn't bother me.

I thought that this was a very good tutorial. It went into depth were you could run into trouble and it didn't assume you had any experience. For those of us who dabble this is very important.
A lot of product promos, but I learned enough. (the more product promos, the less the video should cost)
