Robbie Laird's informed intuitive approach teaches you to prepare before beginning to paint. Robbie gets you started with a sound foundation (her logical palette, organization of pigments, color, and mixing theory) then uses a sketch from her sketch book, a few reference photos for color and begins the 'dance'. You will learn the fun of wet into wet! Robbie shows you how to double load your brush for smooth blending. She encourages the exciting fluid richness of saturated color then re-enters the painting to manipulate edge quality, enhance colors, lift areas, scrape lines and create seamless transitions. To add gesture and accent color, Robbie includes Caran D'Ache (pastel) to the painting. It's fun, fluid and fast!
