Elevate your Science Fiction, Horror and Fantasy figure modeling to the next level with The ModelMania™ Collection, Volumes Four and Five: Model Detailing. Building and collecting figure models is one of the most entertaining hobbies today, and the ModelMania™ instructional DVD series provides invaluable information for the beginner as well as the advanced modeler. With Volume Four, respected artist and top figure modeling expert David Fisher responds to viewers most asked questions and requests regarding skin effects such as suntanned skin, realistic mottled skin, veining, bruising, wounds, and tattoos. Volume Four expands upon earlier flesh tone instruction in this series, and explores the techniques and materials required obtaining them. You’ll learn how to create translucent veiny skin, realistic drips and drool, rotted teeth, blind eyes and more! David also guides you through one of the hottest and most useful techniques he uses extensively, shading and detailing with chalk pastels. With the all-new Volume Five, David explores detailing techniques for clothing such as creating satin effects for fabrics, using magic markers for patterns, rendering realistic wood grains, repairing a damaged kit, painting and texturing stone surfaces, and painting 1:1 scale eyes. David also walks you through easy to follow hair techniques, from painting and shading blonde to red, black to gray, and rendering fine body hair. If that weren’t enough, he also takes you through two demonstrations for adding real hair to model kits! This DVD will arm you with the knowledge you need to turn your model kits into one-of-a-kind works of art! As an added bonus, you can access the beauty shot gallery to study many examples of David’s Amazing Figure Modeling!

This is an amazing DVD. It contains a plethora of valuable information about airbushing your kits. David Fisher goes into veining, tattooing, skin tones, teeth, eyes and more. It has a seperate section on how to repair broken kits. This DVD is very well executed. I would recommend it to anyone, from a beginner to those of an advanced level. One of the coolest thing is how he shows to add drool to your Monster, Animal or Zombie kits. This is short and to the point. It is also a bargain, since it is two volumes on one disc.
This is a definite in my book if you are into Garage Kits.
