This is a very basic introduction to Bodypaint v2.

At times I felt I was watching a training video on Photoshop as he went over the basic painting and selection tools in depth. However he didn't leave much holes in the training. However I'm not sure where the training is headed because this is the first video in a 3 video set.

The other two at the time of writing "Introduction to Texturing in BodyPaint 3" and "Advanced Texturing in BodyPaint 3D" which look like it contains the materials I am after hasn't yet been released.

I have to say that this is a good video for a 3d novice entering bodypaint but is a bit slow for the seasoned 3d artist..but does contain some bodypaint basics all newcomers to the program will need. To deal with the speed I had it playing on my second monitor while I worked on another project. Despite being slow it was over quickly. Theres not much content on the disc. I was expecting something more grand as I kept checking the mail for the disc for the last two days with eagerness.

The instructor is not an experienced trainer and it sounds like he's just talking to himself (and making jokes to himself) but regardless he had a high spirited positive attitude which made it good in that respect.

It does come with demo versions on the disc so if you don't have bodypaint you can install them from the disc (pc or mac).

So bottom line. It's a good rent but don't expect grand. It will get you up and running with the program.
