I rented this set with great confidence that I wouldn't be disappointed because Dean Velez has put out an instructional DVD. He delivered big time and you will not regret renting this set. If you're serious about motion graphics, this is a must have. It lives up to the hype and more. My only pet peeve with this series is that it is in DVD-ROM format and I wished they could have made it DVD-Video like Desktop Images produces their instructional material where you can watch it on your tv and use your computer in unison. Regardless of my personal viewing preferences - get this set now.
Okay, so I liked the previous Total Training (AE 6.5), so I came in with high expectations. Dean is knowledgeable, and I definitely think you'll come away with some tips, no matter your level. It wasn't exactly what I wanted, but I learned a few things as well, so it was not wasted time.
