I really enjoyed this video. A lot of information on how to do things to your gun. There are a few things I would have like to have seen more of, but I feel much more confident working on my pistol and have a better idea of what I want OUT of my pistol after watching this dvd. I give it a five.
A good balance of gunsmithing and shooting techniques. Loved the conversations and advice from both Bill Wilson and Ken Hackathorn.
What a deal to gain knowledge from some of the best in the business about a 1911. Can't go wrong watching this video.
Learn how to completely assemble the 1911 before viewing this dvd.
Once you get past the Wilson Combat marketing its gets better because various gunsmiths show you how to install the most practical and custom upgrades for a 1911 like sights, safeties, trigger job, etc. Worth watching.
A very good DVD to build a great running 1911. If you posses the mechanical understanding of how tools work and what the dvd is trying to tell you, then this is a great instructional DVD. There are some special jigs that are necessary to perform the work, but they are not out of the reach of the regular guy if you really want them. Brownell's offers these tools and I don't get anything for saying this, I just want to save you time in looking for them as I wish someone would have done for me. Great DVD and worth watching.
